The
project aims to analyse whether part-time employees at World Duty Free
(WDF) have been the solution to better productivity. WDF is
the
world's leading duty free retailer of the British Airport Authority
(BAA). The analysis of this project’s research data will
examine
the better productivity by part-time employees against full-time
employees of the above organisation, and focusing much more on the term
‘better productivity’ to measure the performance.
WDF’s strategy to further implement part-time working
arrangement
has been established to improve employees’ productivity.
Further
in detail, the project will seek to review past and present literature
of the topic so that an adequate conclusion is reached. The key
objective of the report is to investigate and demonstrate the
implication of part-time working on a Western society paying particular
attention to UK organisations; such statistics will enable the research
to be more efficient. Consequently, this encourages the idea of the
impact of part-time working, exploring advantages and disadvantages.
The most effective means of measuring productivity is by performance by
staff, considering the quality and quantity of work produced during
working hours.
