Adoption of Prefabricated Housing Dissertation – This dissertation will examine the positives and negatives of prefabricated housing and the general desirability by developers, end clients and the government. It analyses the barriers and favourable regulatory aspects to pursuing prefabrication into the UK housing market and the emerging technologies now inseparably related to pre-manufacturing.

The drivers for examining the prefabricated homes are; current housing shortage and affordability in the UK believed outdated construction processes and the need for flexible and sustainable housing solutions. The qualitative research methods are to bring data from industry experts, institution and government representatives regarding adopting or expanding pre-manufactured production within the housing market. In conclusion, the dissertation will display the opportunities and threats of prefabricated homes to suppliers and end clients based on conducted primary and secondary data research. It will set out their main motives and hesitations and give recommendations of a viable regulatory environment.
