Blockchain Technology Disruptions Dissertation – Established in 2008, Blockchain Technology (BCT) has become one of the most popular technologies, increasingly used in both our society and commercial establishments due to its higher data processing power. This technology is highly useful for its users as it allows them to store data globally across thousands of servers. However, the deployment of this technology also faces limitations such as scalability issues and excessive energy consumption.
The prime objective of this dissertation is to understand and evaluate the potential societal impact of BCT disruptions. The first chapter of this dissertation will introduce the hypothesis, background of the topic, and rationale. Additionally, the structure of the entire paper will be discussed. Chapter two will present the opinions of reputed scholars on the topic.
To ensure the validity of this dissertation, an online survey will be conducted among BCT experts who understand the impact of this technology. A set of questions will be created using Google Forms, which will be included in the appendix unit of this dissertation. The collected data will be analyzed using MS Excel. In the final chapter of this dissertation paper, the drawbacks and future scope of the study will be identified.
Many previous studies focussed mainly on the overall impact of this technology; however, this dissertation shall be focusing only on the societal impact of BCT. The prime objectives of this research are as follows:
