Leadership Style and Employee Performance Dissertation – Giving attention to the leadership style taken is essential as it helps define the direction of the organization therefore defining business success or failure. This research focuses on the task-oriented leadership which explains the extent within which a leader gives directions that guide the actions of the followers while at the same time defining the roles of the followers or the team members while giving directions on how these roles should be undertaken.

On the other hand, the research also focuses on relationship or people-oriented leadership where leaders engage with their followers and maintain close relations, where they listen to them and ensure encouragement, advice and support to ensure objectives or the groups goals are achieved. This dissertation therefore aims at focusing on the essential factors that help in choosing the most appropriate, desirable and practicable leadership style. These include understanding the leadership forces which help in determining the best leadership behavior, these include behavior of the leaders that is their personality, experiences, knowledge and background.
